The walk starts from Wild Goose Playing Fields car park which is about 100m beyond The Golden Goose pub in Redditch (Icknield Street Drive B4497 - B98 0DD). We are roughly following the Arrow Valley Country Park Woodland Trail, but starting from the southern end. Head south west from the car park past the BMX park buildings to the open grass beyond. Cross the grass to the wooded section and follow the edge of the wood southward until a pathway through the wood appears on the right. Follow the path through the woods to join the main path on the opposite side. This path is mettled and runs north-south through the park. Follow the path northwards until the path passes under the Warwick Highway dual carriageway. A little further on a small path (through a gate) heads to the right through the woods. Follow this until it joins a main path heading anti-clockwise to the south east of the Arrow Valley Lake. Follow the path until it reaches the edge of the main park car park. Follow the path along the northern edge of the lage, passing The Boathouse Cafe (toilets available). Continue along the north edge of the lake and then follow the path down the west side of the lake. At the southern point of the lake follow the main path south back under the dual carriage bridge we went under earlier. Just beyond the bridge a small path leads to the east through the woods. Follow this path as it loops round to the right. After a while the path comes to Ipsley Church Lane. Cross the lane and a path straightahead leads south across open fields back towards to BMX park. Just before reaching the park, a path cuts right to the north end of the car park where we started.
