Smokey Lane (near Cropthorne) walk

The route starts at Corran Dean. From there we head south to the end of Smokey Lane, where we turn right and head along a bridleway. After a short while we come to a cross roads of bridleways. At this point we turn left and head south-east towards the end of Haselor ridge. After a while the bridleway crosses the end of a road. We continue beyond this point keeping the hedge on our right until we come to a gate in the hedge. At this point we turn right and hot through the gate and cross the centre of the next field. At the far side of the field is another gate and a road. Here we turn right and take the first left to head towards Chapel Farm via a small dog leg. At the farm we rurn right and follow the bridle path back towards our starting point. After a few hundred metres we come to another junction of bridleways. At this point we bear left angling across the triangle of field between the hedge and a stream, to a style and small bridge across the stream. Once across the stream we head west crossing a small patch of scrub before reaching a hedge between fields. The path follow the hedge, keeping the hedge to the left. Following the path to the top of the rise, and we are back at the start.
